For patients without concurrent disorders, a BMI of at least 30 kg/m2 is required; for patients with risk factors, a BMI of at least 27 kg/m2 is required.
Administration strategy and dose
Amfepramone is only used to treat obesity and maintain body weight as a component of a comprehensive therapy that includes dietary changes, exercise, and/or other lifestyle modifications. Therapy sessions are just a few weeks long and cannot last longer.
Neobes is to be taken orally, 25 mg 1-2 times a day, 30 minutes to an hour before meals (breakfast and lunch). The dose can be raised to 0.1 g per day if there is excellent tolerance and inadequate effect. Treatment lasts for 1.5 to 2.5 months. Repeated courses are conducted if necessary every three months.
Neobes side effects
Cardiovascular system adverse effects include tachycardia and elevated blood pressure.
Weakness, headache, sleeplessness, euphoria, impatience, and a decline in mood are symptoms that come from the central nervous system.

Overdose
Symptoms of Neobes overdose: tremor, hyperreflexia, tachypnea, confusion, hallucinations, collapse, convulsions in patients with epilepsy. Treatment: induction of vomiting, gastric lavage, forced diuresis; with the development of severe mental disorders – psychoactive drugs; when symptoms of respiratory failure appear – mechanical ventilation; with tachycardia – beta-blockers.
Contraindications to the use of Neobes
Atherosclerosis, arterial hypertension, myocardial infarction, pheochromocytoma, pituitary adenoma, diabetes mellitus, psychosis, epilepsy, thyrotoxicosis, glaucoma, childhood (up to 12 years), hypersensitivity to amfepramone.
Neobes Amfepramone is contraindicated in pregnant women and during lactation.
